About us
One family, one kitchen, since 2009.
Desi India Bazaar opened on Branham Lane in 2009 and has been run by the same family ever since. It began as an Indian and Pakistani grocery for Cambrian Park, and the kitchen came later, because customers kept asking whether we could cook for their parties.
That kitchen cooks Indian home food — paneer and chole and biryani alongside undhiyu, khandvi and methi thepla. The dishes that are hard to find done properly outside somebody else’s home. Everything we cater is vegetarian, and we cook Jain and no-onion-no-garlic often enough that it’s routine rather than a favor.
The bread, the farsan and the sweets are made here, through the day, by people whose names are on the business. That is the whole pitch.
